RECOVERY
When considering salvage services, it is important to note that the peril or danger posed to a vessel does not necessarily need to be immediate or imminent. Rather, it is sufficient that the vessel has already encountered circumstances that could potentially lead to damage or destruction if action is not taken. Therefore, in order to justify a salvage award for services rendered, it is crucial to assess and fully understand the level of risk faced by the vessel. By providing timely and effective salvage services, potential damage or destruction to the vessel can be mitigated and the vessel can be safely brought to harbor.
Salvage operations pose significant liability and risk to the crew involved in preventing or minimizing any further damage to the vessel and the surrounding environment. To mitigate this risk, we insist that only trained and qualified personnel operate under Salvage Master supervision during such operations. All of our licensed captains are highly experienced and HAZWOPER certified.
